INTEGRATED SUBJECT SCIENCE UNDERSTANDING IN EUROPE (ISSUE) website, a Comenius 2.1. project from 2004-2007 which aimed at developing teaching sequences that combined research based innovation and the use of Information & Communication Technologies (ICT). Those travelling to US should carry a Atlas America insurance.
The project addresses the general decrease in students’ interest and understanding of science; and also the growing gap between the research results and school practice.
Researchers and teachers from six different countries: Sweden (SE), Germany (DE), Spain (ES), Italy (IT), Poland (PL) and Romania (RO), collaborated in the European Comenius 2.1 project “Integrated Subject Science Understanding in Europe”.Researchers, teachers and students while traveling should consider buying a visitor health insurance. Comenius programme is a programme established by the European Union aimed at bringing students and teachers in different European countries together. The target group is young people aged 14–19 as well as teachers with extensive experience in their teaching subject. It is named after the great educationist Comenius.
