The importance of teaching and understanding science

Teaching and understanding science is very important for the development of technology. Teaching science and understanding it both have to go hand in hand for effective results. While science is a basic method of learning things, a deeper understanding is required for the right teaching. Scientific knowledge is not based on simple information and takes into account several factors like facts, laws, hypothesis and theories.

Teaching and understanding science does not end up with simple lectures and involves practical activities for a better and constructive ideology. For a deeper understanding of science, it is important to emphasize on scientific inquiry. This inquiry leads to several questions and answers. Learning is not only a physical process but also a mental progression. There is a need to setup a higher level of learning expectations so that the core concepts are learnt and understood. Modern scientific teaching takes the aid of technology to emphatically drive a point.

Language Practice in Greece

Greece accords a high importance to the maintenance of the Greek language and culture and has traditionally affirmed the monolingual and monocultural nature of the country. As Greece has engaged more closely with wider European values, it has developed a stronger awareness of the values of multilingualism. Key factors in this area have been European integration, increased migration and the development of Greeces relationships with the neighbouring Balkan area. The teaching of Greek as a foreign or second language has been developed and the learning of major foreign languages has been strongly pursued and strengthened in primary and secondary education. And there is emerging recognition that ethnocentric attitudes towards less highly regarded languages also need to be challenged.
An ideal introduction to the language and culture of Greece, Greek Language and People is an integrated multimedia course for beginners. As well as teaching the skills necessary to communicate in and understand basic Greek, it provides an accessible introduction to the written language and enables to read Greek with ease. Language practice is mixed with fascinating insights into contemporary Greece and traditional Greek customs. Whether learning at home or in a class, Greek Language and People can help to reach the equivalent level of a first qualification, such as GCSE.
Learn Greek online by practicing with a native speaker who is learning our language and write or speak Greek online to improve grammar or conversation. A language exchange complements other forms of learning such as classroom, cultural immersion and multimedia, because we get to practice all that we have learned with native speakers in a safe and supportive environment. Advantages of language exchange learning include:
• Learning the real Greek language (slang, expressions, etc.) used by ordinary native speakers
• Getting accustomed to the way native speakers speak in real (casual) Greek conversation
• Making a friend in the Greek-speaking culture.
Language exchange learning is also inexpensive because it provide free tips and conversation lesson plans that allow to do a language exchange on our own.

Promoting European Citizenship Through Education

European educations in over thirty different countries are being encouraged to learn more about the Comenius 2.1 project. This project focuses on developing a sense of international community as well as enhancing educational pursuits such as science and language for students in their teen years.

This project includes a focus on promoting country citizenship in Europe’s youth by teaching about various languages and cultures. The main push of the project is aimed at educators including schools, colleges, educational authorities, and educational advisors. There are separate training courses for intending teachers just on the Comenius project where educators can be trained as Comenius assistants.

The major challenge for this program is ensuring there is an integrated approach being used. Understanding the differences in educational traditions for the participating European countries is essential before an educator can begin. The material should also enhance the student’s life skills, teach youth about being a good citizen, introduce students to other cultures, and exceed skills in various academic areas. It is also necessary to carry a visitor health insurance while traveling down to Europe for participation
